TELEX RELEASED
Telex Release refers to a message that is sent by an agent or shipping line from the origin to the office at the customs destination. It can also be sent from an agent to signify that the shipper has already surrendered the OBL (Original Bill of Lading) issued tothem. It’s a convenient, fast and safe way and will avoid the risk of loss of bill of lading.
OCEAN BILL OF LADING (B/L)
The bill of lading is a legally binding document that provides the carrier and shipper with all of the necessary details to accurately process a shipment.This document must accompany the shipped goods and must be signed by an authorized representative from the carrier, shipper, and receiver. If managed and reviewed properly, a bill of lading can help prevent asset theft. This way is convenient for the buyer to pick up the goods immediately, and simplifiesprocedures and saves costs.
SEA WAYBILL (SWB)
SWB is short for sea waybill. It is a transport document for maritime shipment whichserves as evidence of the contract of carriage and as a receipt forthe goods, but is not a document of title. The sea waybill indicatesthe on-board loading ofthe goods and can be used in cases where no ocean bill of lading andno other document of title is required. This one is more suitable fortrustworthy buyers.
PORT OF DESTINATION RELEASE
This method of placing orders is rarely used. This release will be used under the following special circumstances: Firstly, if the bill of lading is lost, the shipper shall write a letter of guarantee to the shipping company or the agent torelease the bill to the consignee; Secondly, if the bill of lading is issuedlate and the goods arrive, in order to pick up the goods earlier, you can alsotake a letter of guarantee to instruct the delivery of the goods.
