On June 28th, AB5 came into effect as the U.S. Supreme Court decided to not hear the California Trucking Association’s appeal. It led to the massive strike of truck drivers. Been lasted for a few days, the truck drivers’ strike has led to the closure of the Port of Oakland. In addition, the protests led to a decline in productivity and an increase in the waiting time of containers at the dock.
