Inthe past several days in South Africa, continuous rainstorms have caused acatastrophic flood. As a result, Durban port, the biggest port in South Africa,has suspended operations and some containers were flushed away.
Accordingto an announcement by Maersk, severe floods and extensive damage occurred inmany areas of Durban. All its warehouses were impacted by the flood.
Thisheavy rain was caused by “La Nina”, which usually leads to higher than normalrainfall in the country and its neighbors.
